Dr. Kim Goodwin
Dr. Kim Goodwin became an OB/GYN because she loves "taking care of women and delivering babies is a thrill“. Graduating with honors from the University of San Francisco, Dr. Goodwin has a BS majoring in biology with a minor in psychology. She went on to receive her medical degree from Brown University in Rhode Island, where she was presented with many accolades.
Her four years as a resident in obstetrics and gynecology at the Women and Infants’ Hospital in Rhode Island proved to be successful as well. Dr. Goodwin received the "Outstanding Resident Teaching" award each year that she was a resident.
Dr. Goodwin is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and her activities have included: violence peer counseling, pregnancy clinic counselor and Children's Psychiatric Hospital volunteer. While on active duty for the US Navy, she completed her residency in OB/GYN at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD and has been stationed throughout the world including Okinawa, Japan and Naples, Italy.
Dr. Lauren Bales became an OB/GYN because she "enjoys the diversity of OB/GYN and believes that being a part of a patients total care is very rewarding."

Dr. Craig Saffer
Dr. Craig Saffer has practiced as a physician in many medical specialties including internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics as well as family practice. But it was his passion for obstetrics and gynecology that won the day for this well-qualified physician and he has over 14 year's experience in this field. "It's a privilege to share such an important part of someone's life," says Dr. Saffer. "Nothing can compare with the joy of being there at the start of a precious life. I wouldn't change my job for the world."
Dr. Saffer provides total obstetric care and is a specialist in minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopy and hysteroscopy). Dr. Saffer was named one of San Diego’s top doctors by San Diego Magazine in October 2006. He has been featured on Discovery Channel as well as The Learning Channel and teaches laproscopic surgery to other gynecologists. He is actively involved in research in his field, predominantly post-menopausal therapies and female sexual dysfunction.

Dr. Henao
Dr. Gwendolyn Henao takes a well-rounded view of medicine and her patients, and that approach already has earned her accolades from patients at Sharp Medical Center's Outpatient Pavillion.
A scholarship recipient at the prestigious Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Henao gravitated toward obstetrics and gynecology during her residency at Baylor for its balance of surgery, wellness practice and delivering babies.
Her interest in female aesthetics and "catering to the woman as a whole," led Dr. Henao to spearhead West Coast OBGYN's founding of a state-of-the-art laser and cosmetics clinic.
Born in Houston, she spent much of her childhood in Columbia as well as Texas. Dr. Henao speaks English and Spanish with equal fluency.
