Dr. Kristin Engorn was born in the beautiful country of South Africa. At the age of eleven, her family moved to Irvine, California to be closer to her mother’s side of the family. After high school, she moved to the Bay Area to attend University of California Berkeley where she double majored in Molecular and Cell Biology and Psychology. In 2011, she graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, Virginia where she fell in love with the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
She completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Maryland Medical Center in 2015. After working for two busy private practices in Baltimore, MD and Pasadena, CA, Dr. Engorn relocated to sunny San Diego in 2019 to be closer to her extended family. She is so happy to be a part of the West Coast OB/GYN family! She finds tremendous satisfaction in taking care of women and building long-standing relationships with patients from their very first gynecologic visit, to the birth of their children, to guiding them through peri-menopause/menopause, and every step in-between.
In her spare time, she enjoys going to the beach, hiking, playing tennis, and spending time with her husband, Branden, their son, Ryland, and their golden-mix pup, Charlie.
