Prenatal Care

We provide comprehensive obstetric care for both low risk and high risk pregnancies, including twins, diabetes, high blood pressure, etc.  Your first appointment should be around 8 weeks after your last period.  You will have a thorough history and physical and you will likely get an ultrasound.  If you have any records from another location for the current pregnancy, please bring these with you to that visit. 

You will be seen regularly throughout the pregnancy and also in the postpartum period.  We have our patients deliver at both Sharp Mary Birch Hospital (webpage) and Sharp Grossmont Hospital Women's Health Center (webpage), depending on your preference.
